The Family Reunion

We were so thrilled to see so many family members. We estimated about 75 people there. We missed those who couldn't make it. But it's nice to see the family grow and how the little children at the last reunion are now young adults and building families of their own.

We toured the Freedom Cemetery, read the headstones, and enjoyed the quiet and beauty of the rolling hills. Then a short drive brought us to the little white house where Martha grew up. According to Fern, who lives next door, the house is ready to be torn down. So we're glad to have one final close up look before it's gone.

Then it was up to Dorothy's for a pot luck dinner, visiting and a little family history meeting. We voted to have the George Kennington reunion every other year (next one will be in 2010) and the Brigham City Cousins will be in charge.

We (Kathy) will do my best to post the materials available at the reunion on this site over the next few days if all the computers cooperate. That way you can copy off what you like - or burn it to a disk.

Alyce and Craig and Helen have typed up some of the very old writings from Martha and we appreciate their time and effort on that front. After 40 years the mimeograph ink is fading bad on the originals. Thanks!

So sit back and enjoy the pictures until we all meet again.
