The Old Brick Home

Osborne Low and 4 children in front of newly completed brick home 1905.

We've had an adventure this month with the old brick home where our Kennington family lived from 1930 to about 1943 when Martha finally sold the brick home and moved down to Utah to be near the older children during WWII.  Only the oldest cousins had experience with the house.

When Martha returned to Afton after the War, she lived in a small house, then in an apartment on Main Street.  Ruth, Craig and Gene lived with different brothers and sisters before college and the service.  Berniece, Beverly and especially Cliss took care of Martha when her health went down.  But over the years, we always referred to the brick home as "the old Kennington Home".

So last month, when our sister Donna announced that she had permission from the owners to take a look around, we were interested.
